Travel on the Ligne Rouge
Have you heard of La Ligne Rouge? It’s a funny and crazy comic strip of 40 episodes, published twice a week since February 9th, 2015 in the Metro newspaper. We follow Arnaud, Stef, Seb and Bongo the monkey’s adventures, while they try to find their way out of the Ligne Rouge. What line? The secret Montreal metro line, of course! This improbable comics comes from the work of five creators of the Front Froid collective: Dominique Carrier, Olivier Jobin, Jeik Dion, Olivier Carpentier and Julien Paré-Sorel.
The FBDM, Front Froid and les bibliothèques de Montréal are happy to collaborate to offer you an unusual rallye throughout the city. You have until May 31st to go on your own adventure and visit Espace La Fontaine and the Frontenac, Plateau-Mont-Royal and Marc-Favreau libraries to have a look at the Ligne Rouge exhibits.
Find the number of the episodes shown at each spot and bring your card back during the festival to have a chance to win a signed ex-libris (unique artwork from the comics)! All the details here.
You missed a couple episodes? Don’t be sad, you can binge-read them here! Good luck!
