Commitment to a Safe and Healthy Environment
Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for all participants.
By participating in the Festival, you agree to not engage in violent, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or harassing language or behaviour. This includes, but is not limited to, unwanted advances, intimidation, inappropriate physical contact, unwanted sexual attention, or any other verbal or physical conduct of a discriminatory nature, as defined by the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, or any otherwise inappropriate behaviour.
Persons who create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment by engaging in such conduct are not welcome at the Festival. MCAF reserves the right to cancel or refuse the presence of an artist or to revoke the privileges granted to exhibitors, including expulsion, at its sole discretion, in relation to language or behaviour during the Festival or at any other time.
If you feel or see yourself or someone else being subjected to violent, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or harassing language or behaviour, please take one of the following actions:
- In case of emergency, call 911.
- Notify one of the following people, who will be happy to assist you:
- Festival security,
- A FBDM volunteer (wearing a volunteer badge and MCAF vest),
- A member of the FBDM staff (wearing a MCAF staff badge and shirt).
