The stories of others, whether they be illustrious unknowns, forgotten heroes or loved ones, can be an endless source of inspiration for authors who decide to take them on. But how, in concrete terms, can we give substance and reality to other lives but ours? What research and scriptwriting challenges does the biopic genre represent?
