About MarieMo (Marie-Morgane Adatte)

A freelance graphic designer and illustrator trained at the School of Visual Arts in Biel, Marie-Morgane Adatte is passionate about travel, nature and drawing. She evolves in a creative world between illustrations, narratives and editions, and finds the means to engage through her artistic projects, particularly comics. She has been actively involved since 2017, as a coordinator on the committee of La bûche (Fanzine), a collective of Swiss female cartoonists practicing comics. Together, they regularly publish editions and participate in numerous events, residencies and exhibitions related to the 9th art. In 2021, following a sailing residency in the ice of Greenland, she published Les Mains Glacées with Editions Antipodes. In February 2023, for her book Pied à terre, she embarked on a rescue mission aboard the Ocean Viking, the boat of the SOS Méditerranée association. The aim of this second reportage comic strip is to use comics to raise readers' awareness of migration issues. "
