About Roxanne Dionne

Roxanne Dionne

Author’s Graphic Novel, Essay

Adult

Formerly from Montreal (she's still grieving), now from Gatineau (she likes the Outaouais), Roxanne is a freelance illustrator who specializes in comics, digital art and the art of over-analyzing what's going on around her. She creates characters who are a little goofy and marginal, and puts them through ordeals of her own invention to make their lives unnecessarily difficult. Mainly nourished by graphic novels and coffee, she never leaves home without her anxiety. She's particularly fond of grandmothers and kitsch. Roxanne is studying comics at the Université du Québec en Outaouais and working on her first comic, Les mammouths, an autofiction about coming of age, anxiety and grief.
