Lili/Aurélie Grand grew up at the foot of the French Pyrenees and studied illustration and graphic design on the heights of Vancouver’s North Shore. They enjoy getting into the skin of their characters, feeling the textures of pencil and ink, and the spontaneity of improvised drawing: this is how their illustrations come to life. Since 2009, they have worked mainly for publishing and youth press on both sides of the ocean. After several collective comics such as the series Les Autres Gens (Delcourt) or Paris en BD (Bayard), their first self-published travel journal Journal américain 2 was released in 2024 under the Grrraaand collection.
