Aude Fourest is an author and multidisciplinary artist born in France in 1990. She lives and works in Tiohtiá:ke / Montréal. She studied Fine Arts at the Beaux-Arts and the University of Rennes 2. Her first book, L’arbre à L’envers, was published by La Logique Du Calendrier in 2017. It reflects on Childhood and the figures imposed by education in its personal construction. His second book was published in 2024 by L'Oie de Cravan. These are surrealistic, intimate, political and poetic comic strips. Alongside her books, she creates illustrations, publishes various artists' books and fanzines, and contributes to collective publications. She uses a variety of printing techniques, particularly silkscreen and risography. Aude takes part in micro-publishing fairs and runs various group creative workshops. In 2024, she will be doing an artistic residency on a sailing boat during a 50-day transatlantic crossing, which will enable her to work on a writing project entitled Derrière le hublot (Behind the porthole). She also works as a social worker, helping adult women to learn to ride a bike.
