Aude Fourest is a multidisciplinary author and artist born in France in 1990. She lives and works in Tiohtiá:ke / Montreal. She studied fine arts at the Beaux-Arts and at university. It was there that she began to take a keen interest in comics. The subject of her thesis – Representing oneself: reality play through drawing and political affirmation of oneself – is autofiction in the 9th art. His first book, L’arbre à L’envers, was published by La Logique Du Calendrier in 2017. This reflection on childhood takes a lucid and uncompromising look at the figures imposed by education and personal construction. She's currently working on her second graphic novel which will be published soon. At the same time, she sometimes produces illustrations and collaborates on collective publications; she also works around artistic practices such as fanzines, podcasts and screen printing.
