Jika chose her artist name as an homage to the two-year-old girl she was: the one who drew with felt-tip pens on walls and curtains while her mother was sleeping in the next room, proudly mispelling her complicated-to-pronounce name. Jika never stopped drawing, she just changed the medium. Despite her early beginnings, it wasn't until the age of 40 that she officially became an illustrator, first in press illustration in 2018, then in comics in 2021.
