Dorothée de Monfreid lives and works in Paris. She graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. She works with words just as keenly as with images. She is the author of more than fifty children's books, which have been widely translated (Les Toutous, at l'Ecole des loisirs, Mari Moto at Seuil Jeunesse, etc.) She also made adults' comic books like Ada & Rosie at Casterman BD, Les choses de l'amour, at Misma, Carnets de Campagne, a collective report based on the French presidential campaign in 2022, at Dargaud. Through her stories and her drawings with lively lines, this whimsical artist, who has a great sense of burlesque, takes a sharp and joyful look at life.
