Simon Roussin is a cartoonist and illustrator who graduated from the Arts Décos de Strasbourg in 2011. His work recurrently focuses on the figure of the hero, and in his stories he enjoys recapturing the inspiration of his childhood reading. The author of an already prolific body of work, inaugurated with Lemon Jefferson (2010) then Les Aventuriers (Magnani, 2011), he has also published the acclaimed Barthelémy (Cornelius, 2014) and Xibalba, a long adventure tale imbued with nostalgia. Des Vivants is his first collaboration with two screenwriters, poet Louise Moaty and novelist Raphaël Meltz. It was the perfect way to tackle the sensitive subject of the Resistance and leave the world of his fictional stories behind for the first time. "
