Born in Sherbrooke, Karine Gottot holds a diploma in teaching geography and history in secondary school. For some fifteen years, she worked closely with young people as an animator, educator and teacher. Now it's as a children's author that this beautiful complicity continues. Since 2010, she and Maxim Cyr have co-written the Les dragouilles collection, which combines absurdist humour with urban chronicles. Les dragouilles is a big hit with young readers, and the series has won several awards. In 2014, she teamed up with illustrator Mathieu Lampron to publish the first volume in the Les Mutamatak.
