Camille Van Hoof is a bit like her characters, with a passion for a million cool things. Like many Brussels authors of her generation, she studied illustration at Saint-Luc, then graphic and visual communication at La Cambre. She published her first children's album, Les Petits commandeurs (Le Seuil Jeunesse) with Valérie Larrondo in 2015, then Drôle d'arbre (Versant Sud) the following year. She regularly posts autobiographical stories in a few frames on her Instagram profile; a collection of everyday sketches that make up her Soupe de nombrils, which can be found on the tables of microedition and fanzine festivals, alongside the other creations she publishes with her label La Petite chose. Sentimental Kiss is her first comic strip.
