Since 1999, Mathieu Vanasse has been composing music for television and film. Alexandre Vanasse is his cousin; from their joint work several books have been published: Les bateaux volants (Planète rebelle, 2014), Le virus fantôme (Soulières éditeur, 2016), Le masque amérindien (Planète rebelle, 2016) and La nuit du papillon (Les Malins, 2022). Quai Ouest is their first comic book.
