About Stéphane Lemardelé
Born in France in May 1968, Stéphane Lemardelé studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Cherbourg before emigrating to Quebec in 1995. As a film storyboarder, he has worked on feature films such as Brick Mansion by C. Delamarre (Luc Besson productions) and Everything Will Be Fine. He has collaborated in the organization of several festivals: Les rendez-vous du cinéma québécois, Festival du nouveau cinéma in Montréal and Off-Courts in Trouville, France. In his region, he has developed numerous collective artistic projects involving citizens and helping to create social cohesion (Le Labohem, À auteur d’enfant, RetroLabo). He has also published several travel diaries with Editions Ouest France - Edilarge. Le nouveau monde paysan au Québec is his first foray into the world of comics; it is followed by Simone Veil et ses soeurs : Les inséparables.
