About Caroline Lavergne

Renowned for the sensitivity of her eye and the spontaneity of her line, author and self-taught artist Caroline Lavergne is always ready to embrace the most adventurous projects. She has dragged her pen and watercolours from the back alleys of Montreal to the artisan districts of Tokyo, with a detour through the banks of the Bosphorus, the torrents of the Métis River and the taiga of the North Shore. An avid fan of sequential art based on real-life experiences and events, she is the author and illustrator of Le film de Sarah (Nouvelle adresse, 2022) and has contributed with short comic strips to several publications. She is also the illustrator of Les platanes d'Istanbul, by Tassia Trifiatis-Tezgel (Les éditions du passage, 2018), Les saumons de la Mitis, by Christine Beaulieu (Les Éditions de la Bagnole, 2023), and Comment sauver des chevaux sauvages, by Andrée Poulin (Bayard Canada, 2025).
