Valérie, a devoted fan of silence, prefers words on paper to lively conversations. A graduate in anthropology from the University of Montreal, she traded the study of humans for graphic design, where she quickly made a name for herself — winning a Cyber Lion in Cannes and three awards at the South by Southwest Festival, among others. She is the co-founder of the publishing house Monsieur Ed, which was awarded the title of Best Children’s Publisher in North America in 2022. Valérie is also the author of memorable titles such as Ice Cream Melts Faster in Hell, Boumbidoum, and Tristan or the Boredom with Dandelions. She lives in Montreal with her chihuahua, Benjamin.
