Born in 1998 in Bertoua, Emmanuella Fokou Matho grew up in Douala. She obtained her Baccalauréat A4 in 2016 and entered the Institut des Beaux-Arts de Nkongsamba the same year. There, she obtained her Diplôme d'Etudes en Arts Plastiques in 2019, and her Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures en Arts Plastiques et Histoire de l'Art in 2021. From an early age, she has been surrounded by comic books (Astérix et Obélix, Justice League, Dragon Ball, etc.). Fascinated by these stories and their dynamic drawings, she later decided to make it her profession. By 2021, she was attending and participating in workshops at the Mboa BD Festival, and in 2022 she was training at the Waanda Stoudio animation studio. During the same year, she applied for the Waanda Comics project (training, networking of local players and support for the distribution of comics in Central Africa), and was selected with her H.A.B.D.A project. She is working on this first comics project, which will be available in 2024.
